I just don't like that the best MC written by this author is the one given the least attention: Lin Dong.

The trash MC is totally the fault of the writer. The author couldn't figure out how to balance the power of the opponents, and at the start we were constantly fed stuff about how XY is an amazing talent and he can beat people levels above him. Unfortunately, the author made XY into some dude with a god complex that can solve any problem solo. Then they took a u-turn and it goes against what we saw and what we were told/expecting.

This is totally different from something like Douluo Continent where the MC is quite OP but also regularly depends on his teammates for support and each teammate had their own specialty to contribute to fights in different ways. The fights were very dynamic and everybody was OK with MC not taking the spotlight sometimes. In BTTH its just power fights and that's it.
